Dave,

MSNBC is reporting about Microsoft giving software as gifts to government employees of over $500 value.

I am surprised by the weak response of the federal government sending a letter to employees requiring them to return the software and requesting Microsoft to stop sending it. From the article I gathered that Microsoft is a subcontractor to the DOD and other departments. If any other DOD supplier did such a thing we would have our head chopped off. The threat of the loss of contracts and being banned from competing for future contracts would be a reality.
