About three months ago, I was shopping for a used pickup truck.  I  
noticed something I thought very odd.  I saw a surprising number of  
vehicles which had quite a few years on them but the mileage was low,  
way TOO low.  I saw trucks two and three years old with only 5,000  
miles or so. The pictures clearly displayed a used truck. This  
triggered red flags in the back of my mind.  I immediately thought,  
someone has figured out how to change the digital odometer and  
computer readings on late model vehicles.

Having seen what I believed to be a trend of possible odometer fraud,  
I opted to take a look at a new vehicle, because of the remarkable  
deals being offered, I purchased a new vehicle.

Tonight, I was looking for a shop manual for my new truck and I found  
the following on Ebay.

This confirms my previous thoughts regarding the odometer fraud.
