British Intelligence (and police) reportedly oppose cutting file sharers off Internet
http://bit.ly/Nzsl (Times Online) They apparently fear (accurately!) that such policies would increase the use of Internet encryption. This will happen anyway over time of course -- and will be A Good Thing overall -- but when you're used to have free access to snoop on communications, the thought of losing your window is understandably disturbing. That's not to say that Bad Guys haven't been stopped by such surveillance. But installing government cameras in every room of every household would likely also be of use to law enforcement and intelligence services. Pervasive Internet crypto is coming -- like it or not. --Lauren-- NNSquad Moderator ------------------------------------------- Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/247/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/247/ Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
