Cable Cos and Telcos Moving Big-Time Into Internet Content on TVs

Question: Will data used by these ISP-tailored Internet services being
delivered to their set-top boxes apply against any ISP-ordered
bandwidth or usage caps? Or will they get "special treatment" as
ISP-related content?

The article referenced below suggests that AT&T's U-verse is faster
than cable data systems. Without getting into all of the specifics
here, this generally is simply untrue. U-verse, being essentially DSL
over copper, is replete with severe technical limitations, even at the
most expensive service tiers.
