Cable Cos and Telcos Moving Big-Time Into Internet Content on TVs Question: Will data used by these ISP-tailored Internet services being delivered to their set-top boxes apply against any ISP-ordered bandwidth or usage caps? Or will they get "special treatment" as ISP-related content? The article referenced below suggests that AT&T's U-verse is faster than cable data systems. Without getting into all of the specifics here, this generally is simply untrue. U-verse, being essentially DSL over copper, is replete with severe technical limitations, even at the most expensive service tiers. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/07/business/07cable.html --Lauren-- NNSquad Moderator ------------------------------------------- Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/247/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/247/ Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
