In a nutshell, they bring up the very real fear that reliance on foreign programmers to repair Y2K difficulties has opened up a potentially serious security hole for our information infrastructure. Problems might include: trap doors, root passwords, exploiting corporate information, and implanting malicious code. Amazingly, author Terrill D. Maynard names the countries most likely to be involved in such shenanigans. SANS is among the first to be able to share this information electronically.
