Approximately two hours after the cumulative patch for IE was loaded to the company's Windows Update site Thursday, Microsoft "discovered an error and halted the distribution process in order to conduct further testing," according to a Microsoft representative.
[...] I wonder if the revised version will work with the Windows2000 IPv6 extensions available. IE patches since early December 2001 have failed to apply with IPv6 installed (there's nothing in the failure that even hints that this is the fault with the patch install). I wonder if this means that reinstalling IPv6 after installing the latest IE patches undoes the patches or in some way negates them?
