Creating a debian package for metasploit.

I agree that creating a .deb package would be a wonderful idea, and even
better if it's placed in the repositories. We can ensure a clean and fresh
install every time and ensure the right dependencies are being installed
along side it.

I'm sure H.D will be letting you know his feelings shortly.

I think the benefit of a .deb is that it includes dependenceis, on a fresh
machine I don't have to apt-get some random stuff for ruby.
Perhaps having an auto-building deb and not including it upstream would be
a good idea

Hey,
I was wondering if it would be a good idea for me create .deb package
and try to get it upstream in debian/ubuntu, this should get more
people interested in Metasploit project.
I understand that metasploit framework is under a different license. So
would it actually allow me to package the framework for debian/ubuntu?
