Yes, this is a known issue. The problem is rbreadline, a pure ruby implementation we use for compatibility (mostly with osx, because they ship a broken readline). If you run msfconsole with -L to force using the system readline, you should see a marked improvement (as well as having ^R work again). Hello, I have been experiencing some really bad speed issues when using msfconsole; I have only tested it on Ubuntu 9.10 x64. The issue occurs when editing the middle of a line or using the command buffer(up arrow), it is really slow. Is this a known issue or am I the only one experiencing this?
