To clarify:

I used an Admin hash to return a Meterpreter shell, ran getsystem and 
migrated to Explorer.  Then I ran into a bug.  I tried to execute run 
metsvc -A but it failed.  So instead I re-ran getsystem from my new 
perch in Explorer.exe and than the metsvc worked.  Hope that helps.
