you need to go in prepared :-)

ask them what os distribution / kernel options / etc before hand. If they
are enabling all options, you're probably best of sticking to web
vulnerabilities if you don't know much about linux ;-)

depending on kernel options used, you /may/ be able to use standard kernel
exploits. if uderef or kernexec is not used.

do you have your course materials you can upload somewhere? i suspect they
will give you hints on knowing what you need to know/do :-)

Hi 4 all!

There is a small project at school (IT security module). The project is on
hacking a Shuttle X50 barebone pc running a linux grsecurity on it. There is
only LAN acces and a 10 minutes session. There are 3 score levels:,
0 level is place a txt on the pc which survive the 10 min.
1 level start a service or program which survive the 10 min.
2 level place a txt into the root directory which survive the 10 min.

I'm newbie in grsecurity so anyone has some idea or experience, pls contact
me:)
my first impression was that it could be done with Metasploit.

Thanks!

Regards f10!
