The 'msfconsole' link runs from the development head (updated via msfupdate) and uses a development database instance (msf3dev) to avoid conflicts with the stable schema. The Community/Express/Pro interfaces use the stable snapshot and are updated via the Software Update menu in the product. There is an equivalent msfconsole instance called 'msfpro' that uses the stable snapshot and links to the production database: $ /opt/metasploit*/msfpro This also has the benefit of enabling Pro specific features if you upgrade to a commercial license, otherwise it is functionally equivalent to the console. -HD -----Original Message----- From: framework-bounces () spool metasploit com [mailto:framework-bounces () spool metasploit com] On Behalf Of Sean Carolan Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2012 12:19 PM To: framework () spool metasploit com Subject: [framework] msfconsole shows different workspaces than the web interface Forgive me for the newbie question. We did a default installation of the community edition. I'm able to create projects in the web GUI, but I don't see them when I run the 'workspace' command in msfconsole. I can also create workspaces in the console, but don't see them on the web panel. Is there a different database for each? _______________________________________________ https://mail.metasploit.com/mailman/listinfo/framework _______________________________________________ https://mail.metasploit.com/mailman/listinfo/framework
