Later it was upgraded to a shared FDDI ring with Ethernet attached segments; later still, a mix of switched FDDI and switched 100Base-T and GigE. The FDDI portion was turned off last summer, about a year ago now, and what remains is a mix of GigE, OC-48 links, and a little bit of remaining 100Base-T. But mostly, it's fallen into disuse relative to Equinix Ashburn and PAIX-VA. -Bill
