There’s a lot less backhoe fade with microwave. ;-) Kidding aside, I’m sure there are plenty of scenarios where microwave makes better sense than fiber especially since it’s a lot easier to clear right of way through the air. Side gig has me maintaining a satellite system. Yes that still makes sense. As part of that I have a service that monitors people applying for microwave transmitters within a few hundred miles.
