The latest version of wap-nmap has been released... you can grab your copies from http://www.hackinthebox.org/article.php?sid=1200 I've been doing some thinking about how much further I'd be able to take wap-nmap... and I have to say that I think this will be the last release. The reason being, that although nmap in itself, has a lot of features that wap-nmap does not make use of, I can't safely implement it, for the main reason that it would require root privileges. All the same though, I believe that wap-nmap has met requirements and it works well. It does what I set out to achieve, and I'm pretty happy with that. Of course, any of you out there are free to take the code and continue developing it - that's what open source is all about isn't it? I'm also thinking of starting web-nmap - a web based nmap tool to port scan a users own machine - I think this has been done already, but what the heck, I might just go ahead and implement it anyway! I'm also looking into other security tools and looking to see whether I could create a wireless version or a web based one at that... If anyone has any suggestions, do drop me a line. Take care, and thanks to everyone who has helped with wap-nmap over the months - it's been fun.
