Hi all... New version (1.2.13) of NMapWin released. After a some problem reports, concerning the nmap service scanning automatically network 10.10.10.0/24, a new version has been released. Now the service is started after installation, but does not actually scan anything. A new flag has been introduced, which has to be set to 'ON' in order to tell the service to scan any network. Some other bugs have been fixed as well: New features: - NMapWin: Clicking the service page will automatically retrieve the latest service parameters from the registry. - NMapWin: New check box 'AutoStart'. If checked the service will start scanning, otherwise the service does not scan the network until 'AutoStart' is checked and the change is written to the registry (using the 'Set Param' button). Per default (after installation), AutoStart is set to 'OFF' and the service is not scanning any network until AutoStart is set to 'ON'.The 'AutoStart' change is written directly into the registry and the service gets a notification that the service parameters have been changed. Nevertheless this change will not take effect immediately. Depending on the scan interval the next scan will be executed after the scan interval. See below for the immediately flag. - NMapWin: Immediately flag. If checked the service will start one scan job immediately, independently from the interval setting. - NMapWin: Button names changed to 'Get Param', 'Set Param', 'Start Service' and 'Stop Service'. Bug fixes: - NMapWin: Message box when hostfield contains '127.0.0.1'. Local loopback cannot be scanned. - NMapWin: Message box when one of the scan options textfields is empty while the check box is checked. - NMapWin: Message box when host field is empty and no input file defined. - NMapWin: Status line shows command which will be executed, even after a '--win_list_interfaces'. - NMapWin: Interval time combo box on the service page made bigger, so all options can be seen. - NMapServ: Default network is 127.0.0.1. As the local loopback is not scanned, this is secure and should not cause any alarms. - Help: When pressing the help button, the default page was displayed with images.
