-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Well, let us just say I'm glad I decided to run ALPHA releases by you guys before the big stable release. Arturo "Buanzo" Busleiman (buanzo(a)buanzo.com.ar) has already found a way to segfault 3.59ALPHA1 by scanning certain machines with connect() scan. This scan type is normally only used by non-root users. I have released version 3.59ALPHA2, which should fix the problem: http://www.insecure.org/nmap/dist/?C=M&O=D This segfault fix is the only change, so if you won't be doing connect() scans, and you already downloaded ALPHA1, you don't need it. Here are the checksums: e1dd2b8addf1426af9a022a888605964 nmap-3.59ALPHA2-1.i386.rpm da07b1789916a4d48a82a877c2eb3d81 nmap-3.59ALPHA2-1.src.rpm c7859ee0c71bacf853e6130d04bff7f5 nmap-3.59ALPHA2.tar.bz2 951dad9faf4d51452ec235a4d6c1166d nmap-3.59ALPHA2.tgz 5c8af9b0943f3e1dd302eca3df454c1e nmap-frontend-3.59ALPHA2-1.i386.rpm These release notes should be signed with my PGP key, which is available at http://www.insecure.org/fyodor_gpgkey.txt . The key fingerprint is: 97 2F 93 AB 9C B0 09 80 D9 51 40 6B B9 BC E1 7E Enjoy! And please let me know if you find any problems.
