Hi Emmanuel, I had just done the same thing on my machine (running FC4 as well). GCC 4 seems to be incorrectly compiling the nmap binary (I am not an expert, so I don't know where the error is coming in). If you have installed the "compatibility" version of gcc (version 3.2 - from the rpm compat-gcc-32), you can correctly compile nmap using the following commands (from the nmap source directory): ./configure CC=gcc2 make make install Greg Darke
