NMAP 3.95 error Win 98 SE

ok im running a windows 98 SE and everytime i run a scan with nmap i get 
"this program has performed an ilegal operation and will be shut down" then 
i go to details and this comes out :

but i just got done using nmap3.50 n it worked perfectly...so i wanna know 
what the problem is
