Nmap 3.999 iMac trip report: thursday, january 26, 9:05am:

config.status: error: cannot find input file: pcre.in

(copied the file over from 3.99's libpcre/pcre.in and ./configure again)

config.status: error: cannot find input file: config.in

(ditto)

configure completes cleanly.. compile explodes:

grutzImac:~/nmap/nmap-3.999 grutz$ make
Compiling libpcre
gcc -c -g -O2 -I. -I. -I. ./dftables.c
gcc -g -O2 -o dftables dftables.o
./dftables pcre_chartables.c
gcc -c -g -O2 -I. -I. \
                  -DPOSIX_MALLOC_THRESHOLD=10 pcre_chartables.c
gcc -c -g -O2 -I. -I. -DPOSIX_MALLOC_THRESHOLD=10 \
         ./pcre_compile.c
./pcre_compile.c:3851: error: syntax error before 'pcre'
./pcre_compile.c:3859: error: syntax error before 'pcre'
make[1]: *** [pcre_compile.o] Error 1
make: *** [libpcre/libpcre.a] Error 2

New hardware is fun! Already late for work or else I'd have more info
to troubleshoot. Compiled cleanly on Linux without any changes.
