Kind of old, but I'm getting the same error with Xcode 2.2 using the ./configure options you posted. I'm going to toy with it a little more tomorrow. - Dave P.S. Is there a reason you're using the powerpc-slackware-darwin host type as to the "powerpc-apple-darwin8.6.0" that would otherwise be automatically detected?
