Performance of nmap.

Hi I would like to increase the performance of nmap, so if you know some places in code where something can be optimized, changed or fixed - let me know. I have also discovered some unused functions. I hope that no one would cry if we'd delete them: osscan.cc:parse_single_fingerprint() Target.cc:void Target::Recycle() tcpip.cc:IPProbe::IPProbe() UltraScanInfo::UltraScanInfo() (empty constructor never used) service_scan.cc: ServiceProbe::setName() I am using some tools that should help identifying potential problems. I know valgrind, gprof, gcov. I have also tried comercial CTC++. Do you know some other tools (for windows or for linux) that could help me?
