Nmap-LUA ideas and questions

Hi-

First I would like to say that I think the LUA system is brilliant.   
At first I was a little hesitant
regarding if I thought it was a good idea, but smarter people have  
yet again made me eat my
thoughts! <grin>

I downloaded a copy of the alpha and have tested it on Mac, CentOS  
and Kubuntu and have
ad no problems.  I was wondering if it was possible to add to the API  
the host.version and return
the value if a -sV scan was done on the host?  I did a quick look  
into the code but in the 15
minutes I had before the kids started yelling, I didn't see how to do  
it.  I will keep looking and would
sending a patch here work?
