Nick,
No worries, there has always been a little WIN32 weirdness... such
is the life on a proprietary OS that doesn't want you mucking with the
network stack.

If you wouldn't mind, please send the output of

nmap -vv -d9 -p80 -sS 192.168.1.82

as well as

nmap --iflist

Maybe we can troubleshoot this for you.

Cheers,
  kx

Re: NMap on Windows

Hi,

I'm an NMap newbie and have just downloaded and installed the stable version
of NMap for Windows (4.11).

On running a simple scan at a command prompt, I get error messages relating
to open failure on eth0 and the scan stops.
e.g.
     nmap -v -A 192.168.1.82

Do I need to configure something for Windows NMap usage ?

Thanks in advance,
Nick Jones
