Zenmap question

Greetings,

I have successfully installed both NMAP and Zenmap latest versions on my XP
PC. NMap works just fine.
I am having problems with zenmap. I do not know what the dependencies are. 
If I do a Quick scan to my server IP it starts but I never get any out put. 
Some nmap generations ago, one could run nmap from a PC only as a client to
a linux nmap server. 
Are there any such dependencies like this for the latest release of zenmap? 

What am I missing?
