The AIX code in libdnet is incomplete according to http://code.google.com/p/libdnet/ and http://code.google.com/p/libdnet/source/browse/trunk/TODO. If I remember correctly, you will also run into difficulties compiling Nmap itself on AIX, but that hasn't been tested in a while to my knowledge. Dug Song, the author of libdnet, asks on the project page for help with an AIX account to improve support--maybe you can contact him?
