Windows self installer issue

 Hi, I tried for a couple of hours to install nmap but it is continually failing when trying to execute 
vcredist_x86.exe  I went to Microsoft and downloaded their C++ 2008 version but that didn't change the install.   Even 
though failing the install continues on and does the wincap install but then fails there also missing 3 dell's.
