Hi,

When I use nmap(the version is 6.01) in windows server 2008,there is a
problem.

when I execute "nmap -P0 -T5 10.100.0.110-254", this command can return
results very soon.
but when I execute "nmap -sT -P0 -T5 10.100.0.110-254", this command needs
about 1800 seconds to return results.this is too slowly.

The resuls are like
Skipping host localhost (10.100.0.220) due to host timeout
Nmap scan report for localhost (10.100.0.221)
Host is up.
Skipping host localhost (10.100.0.221) due to host timeout
Nmap scan report for localhost (10.100.0.222)
Host is up.
Skipping host localhost (10.100.0.222) due to host timeout
Nmap scan report for localhost (10.100.0.223)
Host is up.
Skipping host localhost (10.100.0.223) due to host timeout
Nmap scan report for localhost (10.100.0.224)
Host is up.
Skipping host localhost (10.100.0.224) due to host timeout
Nmap done: 115 IP addresses (115 hosts up) scanned in 1800.60 seconds

Could you tell me why?

Thanks,
themax
