Run this command to see the version of OpenSSL used by Nmap: nmap -V The output will be something like: Platform: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu Compiled with: nmap-liblua-5.2.1 openssl-1.0.1c libpcre-8.30 libpcap-1.3.0 nmap-libdnet-1.12 ipv6 Compiled without: Available nsock engines: epoll poll select Check the directories /usr/local/ssl, /usr/local/lib, /usr/ssl, and /usr/lib as possible places for an OpenSSL installation.
