Re: NSE smbauth library question

Thank you for the clarification Daniel. I assumed it would be
something like that because the http library connection is
noticable when you really go through all the scripts'
documentation. It might be a good idea not to include these
smbauth script arguments in the documentation of those scripts
that can't really make any use of it and maybe also to explain
this background with those scripts that can benefit from it.
From my point of view the documentation page of the smbauth
library (http://nmap.org/nsedoc/lib/smbauth.html) might be
a good place for this kind of information.

Have a nice day,

David

What is the dependency here I am missing? Does this script
really depend on smbauth or is this part of the documentation
only somehow automatically generated and due to some internal
dependency from e.g. http library there is this smbauth script

the script in any way?
David,

The dependency chain seems to be http -> sasl -> smbauth. For hostmap-robtex and cups-queue-info, this is not likely
to be helpful, but for scripts that use http in general, being able to access sites
protected with NTLM authentication can be very useful.
