suggestions for timing options?

i have a decent connection (8 up/65 down). i have 1 machine connected via ethernet. if i wanted to scan random subnet 
blocks fairly quickly, what options would you guys recommend as far as MAX PARALLELISMS/MIN-RTT TIMEOUTS/HOST 
TIMEOUT/SCAN RATE??
these are features i have never really used. thanks
