Eric, The NSE script sources that are linked from the NSEdoc portal belong to the latest development snapshot, and are not guaranteed to be backwards-compatible with released versions of Nmap. Fortunately in your case, there were no substantive changes to the ntp-monlist script since the 6.47 release, so the one that came with your Nmap binary will work fine.
