hello so i apologize. after looking into all that info, i realized the script is using port 445 instead of the 135 RPCDUMP uses. i think i just read MSRPC and just ASSUMED it was 135 standard. seriously though, very few tools that dump the epmapper use SMB directly, maybe that's why i thought what i thought. still a bit confused, however, on why NMAP starts with random TTL counts on certain scripts. i also noticed the same issue with setting low window sizes on certain services as well. so it wasn't all a waste. again, facepalm on my end Mike
