We use a wiki type solution at work called Prone which allows for software
listing, normal wiki type information, as well as a way to put code up on
the screen in a manor like a quote for easy reading. I don't this would be
the best solution but I know there are other solutions out there that will
give us the same result.

I am willing to help with building a site, and hosting an achieve for all
these things. We just need to get approval by the authors of the software
and be approved as a security achieve for all the stuff we use. The code or
scripts will be easy since we just post the actual code into a block quote
type style and make sure the authors agree. That Paul guy can be real mean,
then he goes and abuses Larry :-)

I agree with Paul though, I don't think it would be a good idea to serve up
the actual software from the pauldotcom website. I like the idea of a list
be developed of all the tools, software applications, and other goodies used
or found over time. This would be a great reference point to use as a
collective point for not only the pauldotcom gurus but all of us. We could
all pitch in on our favorite tools, technical how to's, etc...

On a side note, It would be nice to also have a collective list of all the
rss feeds people have in their collection. We could come together and get a
list started fairly quickly and then allow the list to be downloaded as an
xml file to be imported into firefox or google reader.

Just some thoughts, if anyone wants to move forward let me know, I am glad
to help out.
