Very true, I try not to be a dick. Can anyone give me a location to get
these cheaper, Robin you said you had dealt with this before for a client?

The client purchased a few as demo models from various producers after
discussions over potentially buying large quantities of the wining
model.

The company that produced the ones I liked best were a Chinese company
called Shenzhen and the devices were MT102. I haven't got any direct
links off hand but there may be one in one of the manuals I have if
you can't find anything by googling.

The entire point of wholesale is that the price is lower because you're
buying lots. ?Maybe you could get some like-minded individuals together
to order whatever the minimum number is to get wholesale pricing.

Or you could social engineer somebody. ?But that's kind of a dick move.

This is amazing:

The price is a rip off, I'm working with these for a client and you
can pick the devices up wholesale for about $70. The gps in them is ok
but all the ones we've tried haven't been as accurate as the gps in my
G1 phone. It is to do with the size of the antenna which has to be
small due to the small form factor.

I'm guessing this would stop working the ?second UPS drop your parcel
into
the van. Even half decent handheld GPS units can have trouble indoors.

Some of the ones I've tested work when sat in the window, others have
had to be in the middle of a playing field for quite a while before
they get a lock.
