Yes, we recieved a notice from Clam. Fortunately did not recieve update between the bad update and fix so hopefully all will be ok when updates take place. Seems to be some issue with pre .96 versions. If you are having issues with Clam, try updating definitions and restart. -----Original Message----- From: Jack Daniel <jackadaniel at gmail.com> Sent: Friday, May 07, 2010 8:44 AM To: PaulDotCom Security Weekly Mailing List <pauldotcom at mail.pauldotcom.com> Subject: Re: [Pauldotcom] Astaro Fail We have info on the IPS and Clam (yes, Clam had a McAfee moment, too) problems at http://up2date.astaro.com If anyone needs help with this (or anything Astaro), please hit me OFF LIST. Jdaniel at astaro.com is best, but any way you find me works. Sorry for the pain, and for bringing my corporate persona to the list. Came in this morning to find our astaro firewalls all failing to route traffic to various networks & via VPN. Turns out the snort definitions are corrupt, disable the intrussion prevention system fixed it, but I think you only need to remove the 2 lines that contain the words: detection_filter from the astora snort rule, anyone else know if this is correct? Just wanted to know before I turn intrussion prevention back on & cut myself off from our remote offices again.
