Jacob Martinson (jmartinson () aperian com) was saying:

% jacob@buffalo:~

Trying 127.0.0.1...

are you talking about something different than the server version number, ie
3.22.32?

-jacob

Yes, there is a Mysql version number, and then a seperate protocol version.

sample:

www.blah.com mysql version is 3.22.32-log (protocol version 10)
www.foo.com mysql version is 3.21.17 (protocol version 9)
