I love the antennas from Etherdesigns. (www.etherdesigns.com) I have
a mini-tenna and an omnidirectional magnetic mount, and they both
work great. In fact, I have the magnetic omni semi-permanently
mounted on the World's Most Dangerous Minivan, and its long coax
cable gives you a lot of flexibility to move around inside the
vehicle.

I think most people will probably steer you towards the Orinoco Gold
cards. They work well in Windows, *nix, and the various bootable
distros (Knoppix, PHLAK, etc).

I'm pretty sure the antennas will work with many different OSes, too.
;-)

Good luck!

Subject: Wireless pentesting requirements

In an attempt to investigate the wlan in terms of pen-testing, i am
wondering what is the best antenna one would need and the best (in
terms of wireless pen testing needs) wireless card around?

Thanks everyone
