Hi Shannon,

I am using Linux running of VMWare on the windows laptop for quite sometime.

Its a beautiful combination to get best of both the worlds and haven't
face any problems regarding the NIC. But yes it eats lots of CPU. I have
 P4 with 512 RAM.
