Based on your e-mail you only found one host, which is odd. 1. How did you access this wireless network? a. Open - no encryption and no authentication b. You broke the encryption key c. You broke the encryption key and the authentication d. The client provide you all the information to access the network 2. You ran a scanner (ping test only) and found only one host, which is again odd. a. How big is the client? b. What is the wireless network used for? c. Are you placed in a sandbox when you gain access? d. Does the wireless network only provide access to the Internet? (Does not provide access to the internal network. I have several clients that have this enabled for guests.) Once you provide me feedback to these questions I will be glad to provide additional information to help you. sherwyn williams wrote:
Hey all, The project is to pentest via wireless access, testing for passwords, usernames and logins to the network, via domain access and logging in directly to a pc on the network. So far we have access to the router via default configuration, access to a few host shared folder but we are stuck there. Host running winxp, open ports on some of the internal host are, tcp (110, 135, 139, 445)udp (123, 137, 138, 445, 1900). Is there a way to get further from here. As of right now we left ethereal running to gather some information.
