Hi Kapil,
Your mail seems to give absolutely no idea about the Operating System environment you are sitting in,the port is TCP or UDP?

Moreover, if you don't have any of the 2 Integrated Engineering Software or MSSQL server running on the box, then you can have at least 2 more possibilities to investigate about.
1.Any application (like Apache) is runnng and is configured to
use 1443 as SSL port...or something similar to this scenario,
say an application that is programmed to use custom port 1443 to run its service.

2.Activity of any malware that has opened the port 1443.
Cheers!

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anybody knew about or stumbled across an open port 1443, and has anything to say about it. Google
search brings in Integrated Engineering Software or another result comes back with 1443-1445 used for MSSQL2K.

Any insight on this will be highly appreciated.

thanks,
