In all fairness...  Anything running on your local net will be
infinitely faster then something over the net. Nmap vs. Qualys is an
apples to oranges comparison, a port scanner vs. a vulnerability
scanner.

 

A Qualys sales guy can correct me, but I believe they have a box you can
use on site.

 

I personally don't use Qualys products, I use Nessus.
