Alerting on Snort Signatures

Hi,  I was wondering what different methods people use to alert on
signatures generated from Snort.  Currently I have multiple Snort sensors
logging to a central MySQL Database.  What options are there to alert on the
data received and possibly send out email, pages, etc?
