ports database back online

While a project I am supporting gets off the ground, I have built a replacement ports database. The search page is available at http://snort.sourcefire.com/ports.html This database includes information from IANA, Neohapsis's recent ports list, and numerous other services(5). The search page supports port numbers (e.g. "22") as well as names (e.g. "ssh"). For those of you that would like to include a link to ports in the database, the syntax is http://snort.sourcefire.com/ports.html?port=<PORT_NUMBER_OR_NAME> The new project that is in the development stages (and the sole reason I didn't build a replacement until now) will incorporate a huge amount more data, including default install ports for operating systems as well as more detailed information about each port and links to references where appropriate. I'll send an announcement when the project gets out of the development stage. -- Brian Caswell The MITRE Corporation _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users
