Slightly OT : Demarc

Has anyone managed to get Demarc up and running with snort and mysql?

Having a pain of a time getting it working and the documentation is very
lacking at the moment

I am now after playing more and more with it getting an error like this
Connection Problem! Access denied for user: 'root@localhost.localdomain'
when I use the demarc client. Which I don't understand

I have snort 1.8.1 running successfully logging ( or so it seems ) to the
mysql database


Any Ideas?
