missing something?

hello.

got two systems w/ snort installed. one of the systems
is 
a redhat 7.3 full install the other is a 7.3 minium
install, both have libpcap installed. on the box w/
the full install it will report attacks or scans w/o a
problem, but on the box that wasn't a full install it
will only show " X11 outbound client connection
detected". anyone have a clue to what lib's or
packages im missing?
