Jordi,

This problem is associated with the way the snortd.conf was transferred.
Binary vs. ASCII or Unix vs. Windows.  The easiest way to ensure the file
will work is to cut and paste it from a web browser into a text file.  This
will fix your problem.

P.S. Don't forget to chmod your file.
