MySQL support

When I try to run snort with mysql support, it always stops and says
'mysql support is not compiled in this copy'.
I reconfigured it again and again, but it never seems to work. When i run
snort without the mysql support, it works fine. Does anyone have any ideas
how to get it to work? Thanks in advance.
