snort wont start, it gives errors for mysql/libmysqlclient.so.10.0

i installed puresecure on openbsd. i have to start everything manually for
now until they get some new startup scripts compatible with openbsd's
default shell pdksh.
anyways.... i am able to get the mysql and apache server running but when i
try to start the psd daemon via:
/usr/local/puresecure/sensor/bin/psd
it does not start snort. it says it started successfully but when i do a ps
-aux i am not seeing the psd entry. if i try to retype the startup string
again it says that it is already running ,but the pid it says it is running
from is pid for perl.
on the console i am getting these errors: Snort error: Error while trying
to start Snort
so..... i tried to start snort myself from the console logged in as root
and snort is giving me these errors.
# snort
/usr/libexec/ld.so: snort: libmysqlclient.so.10.0: No such file or directory
i searched for the libmysqlclient.so.10.0 file because i thought
puresecures ./configure script installed everything i would need....and it
is on my system.
#find / -name libmysqlclient.so.10.0
/usr/local/mysql/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.10.0
/usr/local/puresecure/install/mysql-3.23.49/libmysql/.libs/libmysqlclient.so.10.0
as you can see its on my system, so what do i need to do to get this sensor
to start.
