Mike, What I did (which probably isn't the right way!!) is created two new databases on called snort19 and snortarchive19. Told snort to log to that database, and acid to look at that database!! And yes snort does report schema 106!! -Russ -----Original Message----- From: Pacheco, Michael F. Russ, Great - does ACID report the db schema as 106? The database schema version is right on the front page of ACID in the upper left hand corner. More importantly - did you run an upgrade on your schema to get it up to 106 before the snort upgrade? I'm downloading the source now and as soon as I can get a box in the test lab I'll start - so if what I'm asking is in the doc's just tell me - I'm not adverse to getting told to RTFM - if its in the manual. Thanks for the input -Mike -----Original Message----- From: Uhte, Russ [mailto:RussU () RP-L com] Sent: Friday, October 04, 2002 10:50 AM To: 'Pacheco, Michael F.'; 'snort-users () lists sourceforge net' Subject: RE: [Snort-users] Snort 1.9 and ACID? Mike, I just upgraded from snort 1.8.7 to 1.9 and Acid 0.9.6b21 still seems to be working like a charm... This is a win32 setup!!! -Russ -----Original Message----- From: Pacheco, Michael F. Great news Snort 1.9 released as stable code!! Now the question is - does ACID at 0.9.6b21 support the new snortdb schema 106? Or does any higher version of ACID exist that is stable ( I know b22 is in CVS - but has Roman blessed it as a stable release because I don't see it on the CERT site) and supports snortdb schema 106? Can't wait to get 1.9 into testing - I know, I'm chicken, I don't do beta until those who really know what their doing say its OK.
