If your Internet link is less than 10MBit, I would throw a hub (not a
switch) in between the router and the firewall.  Hook your Snort box into
the hub as well via a stealthed NIC.

  HUB-----STEALTHED SNORT NIC
   |
   |
   |
CHECKPOINT

IMHO this is they easy, inexpensive way to do it.
As far as instructions go, just use any of the fine manuals on Snort.org

I am having a Checkpoint Firewall after my Router and
my Web Server is Apache on RHL. 
Can someone please tell me from where I can get a
detailed tutorial to install SNORT on a PC b'ween the
router and the firewall to detect and report about
intruders. 
Also is there any software to check the vulnerability
of my Network and my Servers?
